Alison Gregory
I have known Alison for many years. She is an experienced horsewoman who has produced, trained and ridden horses all her life. Her knowledge of competing is extensive and during the twenty+ years that I was Secretary of the Berwyn and Dee branch of the Pony Club, Alison was appointed Head of Junior Horse Trials,
a role she carried out most efficiently.
Alison has been an active member of Vyrnwy Valley Riding Club for many years. She was Head of Discipline for Show Jumping for several years and successfully took various teams to Area and Inter Branch show jumping competitions. Alison also ran various show jumping competitions for our club where she built and/or checked course distances. We were happy to rely on her sound judgement.
Alison has built up a huge knowledge of show jumping over the years and recognised that many riders would benefit from a practical, informative and
user-friendly reference source. With this in mind she set about producing a set of manuals which are full of exercises, information and detail distances to use between fences for both ponies and horses. As each page is laminated and contained in a ring binder they can be taken outside to the schooling arena for easy reference.
I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending her manuals to anyone who loves to show jump. Each page is packed with information which is easy to read and understand and - for people like me who forget distances - it is wonderful to have a laminated page to take outside. An absolute essential for all show jumpers from beginner to advanced level.

Alison is a goldmine of information. She has the rare ability to explain complicated things in an easy-to-understand and interesting way. She herself is a very competent horse-rider and her extensive experience in producing young horses and ponies is invaluable.
I am thrilled to see that she has put all this valuable knowledge into a book that is a MUST for everyone from novice to advanced level.
